A fully-funded scholarship programme run by the Government of Ireland, managed by Research Ireland (formerly Irish Research Council). It supports outstanding candidates to undertake full-time postgraduate research (Master’s or PhD) in Ireland across all disciplines. The aim is to foster world-class research leaders, encourage pioneering and interdisciplinary research, and support bottom-up research proposals (i.e. applicants define their own topic).
