Rapper Sarkodie has narrated a nightmarish experience of a weedy biscuit when he visited the United States to hold a performance.
In an interview on Hitz FM on December 22, 2025, Sarkodie described the incident, citing that even though he did not remember which state in the US the show was held, he was not pleased.
Sarkodie says that upon their arrival, he and his manager received a hamper in their hotel. The package had beverages, cookies and other snacks.
Later in the afternoon, when they were hungry, they took the biscuits which they were not aware as they were tainted with weed.
I had no issues with being a rapper who is not paid- Sarkodie looks back at the road.
Sarkodie insisted on the fact that he had never smoked marijuana in his life. He disclosed that his manager Angeltown consumed the biscuits mostly including his.
During their journey to the show, Sarkodie narrated the way Angel abruptly started laughing at stuff that was not funny.
A few hours later Sarkodie claimed to have felt the same effects even after having taken a small meal.
I arrived at my hotel and they presented me with a hamper. I had no idea what was inside. It had a drink, biscuits and the like. I bit into the biscuits when hungry without the knowledge that it contained marijuana. This is the first time I have used marijuana. Angel cleared up his, and came to me for more, he said.
Sarkodie also revealed that he knew something had gone amiss when he questioned his manager on the distance between his seat in the backstage and the real stage.
He said that the event was the worst act of his life because at the time he was performing, all his songs sounded strangely slow in his head. All audience later on told him ironically that he played a strong performance.
It was the poorest performance I ever had as in my mind all the songs sounded slow, said he.
